FakeFlashTest Version History

The developer does not publish detailed changelogs for FakeFlashTest, so this page lists only the builds offered on the official tutorial download page, without invented release notes or dates.

Builds offered by the developer

• v1.1.1 — an earlier build still listed on the developer’s tutorial download page.
• v1.1.2 — the build the developer points to for flash drives under 2TB with 512e sectors; it may be slow on large drives. Download: /go/fakeflashtest-v112.
• v1.1.4 — a later build listed on the same page.
• v1.1.5 — the current build. The developer describes it as the latest Beta, and it is the faster build. Download: /go/fakeflashtest (official ZIP).

For most drives, use v1.1.5. Choose v1.1.2 only for the under-2TB 512e case the developer describes. Both downloads are password-protected ZIPs — the password is “fake” — and the tool must be run as Administrator. See the download page for checksums and step-by-step help.
